Developing A Healthy Relationship Group

This curriculum is designed to blend evidence based practices with trauma informed principles, tailored specifically for adults on the autism spectrum and individuals with developmental disabilities. Crafted by Katherine McLaughlin, M.Ed., CSE, the curriculum aims to provide inclusive, accessible, respectful, and empowering sexual health and relationship education.

Topics for the 22 weeks will consist of:

Different types of relationships, Friendships, Communication, decision-making, Internet and Social Media, Public and Private, Moving from friends to partner, Many roads to relationships Being in a relationship, Has your relationship gone bad, Gender identity and expression, Body parts, Caring for your body, Sexual feelings and attraction, Communicating about sex, Decision making about sex, Things that can go wrong, Do you want to have a child , Avoiding pregnancy, and Sexually Transmitted Infections!
